Many companies and organisations most certainly have employees who possess essential knowledge for the business. How to share this knowledge simply and effectively is one of the heart issues for us at InfoCaption. By creating guides that gather this knowledge and make it easily accessible, you have come a long way in your journey towards becoming person-independent.
Support in the daily work
That employees need quick access to documentation or system guides to be efficient in their everyday work is nothing new, as they rarely remember everything that has been said and shown during formal education. In formal education, only a tiny part of the content is remembered after a long period. According to the 70-20-10 model, only 10% of your knowledge comes from formal learning, 20% from collaboration with colleagues, and as much as 70% from what you learned directly in the workflow. It speaks for itself that employees benefit from guides showing what they need to do to carry out their tasks, right where and when they are performed.
Many organisations then encounter a "wall", which is the work of gathering information in an easily accessible way. It can take time to put together and structure the critical information. It can also be challenging to justify the time required to produce the material that employees will use.
Willab Garden faced these challenges and succeeded. They reached the other side of the wall with several step-by-step guides and text guides that clearly describe work steps, detail introductions, and guide one on how to use their internal systems.
Victoria Larsson, the Business Developer at Willab Garden, goes on to say:
"InfoCaption is the tool we have long needed at Willab Garden to gather all our documentation about learning and education. We use InfoCaption in several areas, including system guides, introductions, and product training. InfoCaption has solved many of our challenges around spreading knowledge in a simple and effective way. The tool has also opened up new ideas about how we meet the future needs for education and learning."

Willab Garden receives the award of Guide of the Month
Every month, we at InfoCaption appoint the Guide of the Month - a guide that we want to highlight a little extra because of the value it creates in the organisation. As a thank to the person(s) who created the Guide of the Month, we donate SEK 1,000 every month to the organisation Hand in Hand Sweden, which fights poverty by creating more jobs in vulnerable countries. Hand in Hand works with the "help to self-help" model, which is in line with InfoCaption's own mission "to make it easier for employees to help each other".
Willab Garden saw the benefit in spending the time required to create guides for their employees, and we at InfoCaption want to highlight that this month. They have prioritised something as important as:
- to give employees the support they deserve to ease the stress that can otherwise arise when you encounter obstacles in your daily work.
- devoting the time to actually creating simple step-by-step guides. It saves time in the long run, as it minimises the time that employees need to look for answers and the time it takes for the employees who have the knowledge to explain it again and again to their colleagues.
We in the InfoCaption team think that Willab Garden has done a fantastic job with its guides, not only in terms of quality but also in how quickly the guides were produced. They have created an excellent foundation to stand on that they can develop further in the future to provide even better support to their employees.
Good job and big congratulations to Victoria Larsson, Willab Garden
