Access to knowledge: A key to successful partnerships

In a labor market that is becoming increasingly dependent on collaboration between organizations, access to relevant and easily accessible information is of crucial importance. Sharing guidelines and knowledge has become a key component in shaping a more collaborative and successful workflow. By sharing information in a structured and user-friendly way, organizations can strengthen their partnerships and, at the same time, increase their own efficiency.

In an industry where quality and efficient logistics are paramount, Dagab, part of Axfood, has streamlined by creating a specific portal page aimed at its suppliers. The portal has been designed with user-friendliness in mind and is used today by over 2,000 external users who are suppliers to e.g. Willys, Hemköp, City Gross, Tempo, and Snabbgrossen. In addition to the suppliers, the portal is also used by around a hundred internal Dagab users. The portal offers clear categorization and contains guides that span everything from price terms and promotions to orders and trade flows between Dagab and its suppliers.

Maria Bane, who is behind the supplier portal at Dagab, says that one of the most obvious advantages of Dagab's supplier portal is that it brings everything together in one place. This saves time and reduces frustration for suppliers, who now have easy access to the latest and most relevant information. The text guides in each area are structured in the same format with an overview, concept description, detailed information, and FAQ to make it easier for suppliers to quickly find the right information. Click here to see an example of what a text guide might look like (this particular one describes how suppliers must notify their articles to Dagab/Axfood). In addition to information, the portal also offers an integrated contact option, which facilitates smooth communication between the parties.

By centralizing all information in one place, just as Dagab has done, organizations can save both time and resources both directly and indirectly through fewer misunderstandings. This strengthens trust and facilitates smoother and more efficient communication between organizations and their suppliers. This becomes especially relevant in larger groups such as Axfood, where the suppliers and the contact points are more numerous. In this way, Dagab is a shining example of how access to relevant information can form the basis of successful collaborations.

Axfood receives the Guide of the Month award

Every month, we at InfoCaption appoint the Guide of the Month - a guide that we want to highlight a little extra because of the value it creates in the organization. As a thank you to the person(s) who created the Guide of the Month, we donate SEK 1,000 monthly to the organization Hand in Hand Sweden, which fights poverty by creating more jobs in vulnerable countries. Hand in Hand works with the "help to self-help" model, which is in line with InfoCaption's own mission "to make it easier for employees to help each other".

By combining strong practical value with appealing design, Axfood has created an inspiring portal for collaboration that others can benefit from. This exemplary combination makes them worthy winners of "Guide of the Month," according to us at InfoCaption!
