Train and certify external partners using a digital portal

How do you maintain consistent quality when the people installing your products are not your own employees but independent companies in five countries? It's a challenge that many manufacturers and product companies recognise: you can't control training in the same way as you can internally, but the demands for the right skills are just as high. If you make it too complicated, you lose partners. Do it too loosely, and you risk your brand.

Willab Garden, one of Sweden's leading garden, conservatory and greenhouse companies, has found a way to solve this. With a dedicated certification portal in InfoCaption, they now train authorised installers in Finland, Denmark, Norway, England, and Germany, all in their respective languages, gathered in one place.

A structured journey towards certification

The portal follows a clear progression. When a company applies to become an authorised installer with Willab Garden, they gain access to a first-level training course, "Become an authorised installer", which covers the knowledge they need to qualify. If they pass the training, they move on to the next level, with in-depth material for what is required of a fully authorised installer.

What makes this approach work is that the two levels are clearly separated. The material for the second level is not available until you have actually qualified for it. This way, Willab Garden ensures that the certification actually means something, not just that someone has clicked through a number of guides.

Five countries, one common quality standard

The multilingual nature of the portal is more than a practical detail. It is the prerequisite for an installer in Norway to meet the same requirements and the same materials as one in Helsinki. Without it, Willab Garden would have to manage the training country by country, with all the administration and inconsistencies that entail.

With the portal, there is a common framework regardless of the partner's location in Europe. This is exactly the kind of scalability that is difficult to build with traditional training formats.

Willab Garden is being recognised for its work in building a certification portal that unifies an international partner network and ensures that every authorised installer has the right knowledge, regardless of the country they operate in. Great job and congratulations from all of us at InfoCaption!

Willab Garden receives the Guide of the Month award

Every month, we at InfoCaption select the Guide of the Month - a guide that we want to highlight a little extra because of the value it creates in the organisation. As a thank-you to the person/people who have created the Guide of the Month, we donate SEK 1,000 each month to Hand in Hand Sweden, which fights poverty by creating more jobs in vulnerable countries. Hand in Hand works with the model "help to self-help", which is in line with InfoCaption's own mission "to make it easier for employees to help each other".
