How Novum Assistans reaches all employees with InfoCaption and microlearning

Microlearning means dividing training or knowledge sharing into smaller units or short learning activities.  Novum Assistans uses microlearning to distribute newsletters to employees and to follow up on who has received and read the information.

They had just implemented InfoCaption as the organisation’s competence portal when the coronavirus pandemic affected the entire Swedish labour market. As many of Novum Assistans’ clients were in risk groups, they had an urgent need to share information quickly with all personal assistants — and to follow up on how many had taken part in it.

Ida Örnberg at Novum Assistans explains how they worked with InfoCaption and microlearning:

"The solution was to send out information using InfoCaption’s Push Training function, with scheduled email send-outs. We first sent out general information about how staff should act. Since then, we have sent a total of ten newsletters with up-to-date information, encouragement and reminders about restrictions.

By tracking how many people read the newsletters, it became clear when information fatigue had been reached. We were then able to send the newsletters less frequently. Feedback from staff has been positive. They have felt well informed, seen and confident about how to act."

The newsletter from Novum Assistans was created using InfoCaption’s tools and sent out using the MicroLearning function Push Training.
