More time- and cost-efficient training courses.

When Markaryd Municipality reviewed its systematic work environment management, the need became clear: the introduction of new employees needed to be more uniform, accessible and quality assured.

Much of the content already existed - but was scattered in documents, intranets, folders and systems. With the help of InfoCaption, Markaryd Municipality has gathered existing introductory material in one place and built a coherent introduction package. Material that was previously scattered and difficult to find is now structured in a clear flow, and supplemented with new guides where needed.

The introduction package contains introductory material, mandatory training, checklists, processes and short guides that give new employees a safe start - while giving managers clear support in everyday life. The material is designed to be comprehensive, but can easily be supplemented with organisation-specific content - as several administrations have done.



More effective training programmes

Coor has previously trained new employees to work with processes and business systems with the help of teachers. Now they created a digital training programme with InfoCaption instead. The result was that the time for training a new employee was reduced from four days to one day, and the cost dropped from SEK 4,800 to SEK 600.

Follow-up that makes a difference

With InfoCaption's follow-up function, which is included in Train, managers can follow how onboarding and mandatory training are carried out. This includes training in fire safety, GDPR and security awareness, which are areas that are critical to be able to follow up and also provide support if an employee gets stuck.

Employees can also get an overview of their progress and which training programmes are to be completed and which have been completed.

Effective onboarding customised to role and needs

Once the new employee is in place, onboarding continues in a mixed format - digital and physical depending on the role. For example, a lift technician receives a hands-on briefing on the slopes, while a customer service representative follows digital instructions on systems and processes. InfoCaption is used to make training available for tasks such as ski pass management, returns and equipment. These also serve as ongoing support in everyday work. The platform is also used to gather niche training in specialised portals, such as the one for Valle - SkiStar's mascot - where staff can find everything about activities, costumes and communication, regardless of where they work.

An investment that delivers value in the long run

Through its work on developing the onboarding process and expanding the employee's support, the effects provide long-term value from many different perspectives:

  • The new employee gets off to a safe start and needs to spend less time looking for information.

  • Managers are relieved.

  • Personal dependency is reduced.

  • Quality assurance by ensuring that the employee has read critical content.

Having the onboarding process defined also makes it easier to adjust and refine the process and guides as working practices change.
